The family constitutes a fundamental core for the construction of each of its members as a person in their physical, psychological, socio-cultural and spiritual whole.
Health care is addressed to the family as a functional unit, seeking to respond to the needs arising from its life cycle.
Therefore, our programmes include:
- Health monitoring, programmed according to the age group of each household member, enabling early diagnosis and therapeutic intervention of any changes;
- Monitoring and management of chronic disease, seeking to promote a good adherence to the therapeutic measures necessary to prevent the worsening of the disease;
- Health education, providing the necessary information for a healthy lifestyle choice.
According to the different stages of the life cycle, general Family Health care is framed by the Programmes of:
- Child Health (by paediatricians and specialized nurses);
- Family Health (by GP- General Practice - and specialized nurse).
